DSWD officials, personnel meet to deliberate on COA findings

DSWD COA findings

Officials and personnel of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) headed by Secretary Rex Gatchalian and representatives from the Commission on Audit (COA) met on Tuesday, (June 6), to discuss and deliberate on the management response to the findings and recommendations presented by the state audit body.

The exit conference, which was held at the DSWD Auditorium at the Central Office in Quezon City, was an important part of the audit process that provided the DSWD with the opportunity to understand the findings and give feedback to the auditors, as well as a venue to clarify and validate issues and concerns.

The DSWD expressed its gratitude to the COA for providing an open line of communication for the Department to be guided on matters that concern its program and project implementation.

The Department reiterated that the COA is a partner of the DSWD in ensuring that public funds and resources are all accounted for and serve their purpose.

The conference was also attended by DSWD Undersecretary for Policy and Plans Group Adonis P. Sulit, DSWD-Supervising Auditor Alma Baculi, Audit Team Leader Frederick Manalo, and other DSWD personnel who were assisted by the Management Division of the Department’s Policy Development and Planning Bureau.
