DSWD, partners sign pledge in support of former members of non-state armed groups

Representing the heads of their respective agencies, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Undersecretary Alan Tanjusay of the Peace and Development Group (PDG) and Presidential Assistant for Bangsamoro Transformation David Diciano of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU) sign a pledge of commitment on Wednesday (July 30) to support the launching of the social case management service for former members of non-state armed groups (FMNSAG), individuals, and families affected by armed conflict.

The commitment signing in General Santos City in South Cotabato signifies the solidarity of national and local government agencies to provide comprehensive interventions that will assist former members of non-state armed groups toward their peaceful reintegration to society.

Other officials who signed the pledge of commitment were Bangsamoro Transition Authority, Member of The Parliament, Honorable Romeo Sema; Chief of the Specialized Programs Division, Ministry of Social Services and Development Guialil Pandi; Director Miramel Garcia-Laxa of the DSWD’s Peace and Development Buong Bansa Mapayapa (PDBBM); Regional Director Loreto Cabaya, Jr. of the DSWD-12 (SOCCSKSARGEN); Regional Director Riduan Hadjimuddin of DSWD-9 (Zamboanga Peninsula), and Asst. Regional Director Salmah Basher of DSWD’s Field Office-10 (Northern Mindanao). (AKDL)
