Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian and Social Security System (SSS) President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rolando Macasaet sign the memorandum of agreement (MOA )for a low-cost insurance program for beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) at the DSWD Auditorium in Central Office, Quezon City on Monday (July 8).
The MOA outlines the commitment of the DSWD to ensure that 4Ps beneficiaries are educated on the importance and benefits of the SSS membership and savings scheme and have access to low-cost social insurance. It also contributes to the DSWD’s financial literacy efforts among its beneficiaries.
DSWD officials who witnessed the signing ceremony were National Household Targeting System (NHTS) and 4Ps Undersecretary Vilma Cabrera; NHTS-4Ps Assistant Secretary Marites Maristela; 4Ps National Program Management Office (NPMO) Director and National Program Manager Gemma Gabuya; 4Ps-NPMO Officer-in-Charge –Deputy Program Manager (DPM) for Programs, Services and Interventions Rosalie Dagulo; and DPM for Data Management Systems Director Monica Shayne Ann Purugganan.
The SSS officials present during the MOA signing were Executive Vice President for Corporate Services Sector Elvira Alcantara-Resare and Executive Vice President for Branch Operations Sector Atty. Voltaire Agas.
