DSWD sends Php5.5M in aid to fire-hit families in Cavite City

Aid to fire-hit families in Cavite City

Families affected by the July 14 fire incident in Barangays 5 and 7 in Cavite City receive on Monday (July 15) the relief assistance provided by the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Field Office – CALABARZON.

The relief aid amounting to more than Php5.5 million consisted of family food packs (FFPs), sleeping kits, family kits, and hygiene kits, among others.

Based on the latest report of the CALABARZON field office, a total of 933 families or 3,732 persons were affected by the fire incident and are currently staying in temporary shelters set up by the city government.

The DSWD FO CALABARZON continues to coordinate with the local government of Cavite City for significant updates and any requests for relief augmentation.
