The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Field Office 3 – Central Luzon will provide immediate aid and protective custody to the children rescued from the Subic Bay Children’s Home, Inc. (SBCHI) following reports of alleged abuses and violations committed by the facility.
This after DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian issued a cease and desist order (CDO) against SBCHI, directing it to halt operations for 30 days to allow an in-depth investigation.
As part of the order, the children were immediately rescued from the facility and placed under the care of DSWD Field Office 3 to ensure their rights, safety, and well-being.
They will be provided with safe shelter, food, medical assistance, psychosocial support, and other necessary interventions to ensure their protection and recovery. (YADP)
