DSWD, World Bank discuss ways to improve Beneficiary FIRST project

DSWD and Wordl Bank on BFIRST

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian, together with other DSWD officials, meets with World Bank representatives led by Country Director Ndiame Diop, Thursday, June 1. The conference focused on ways to further enhance the ongoing implementation of the Beneficiary FIRST Social Protection Project (BFIRST) and on how to address the findings of the recently concluded Mid-Term Review Mission of the project.

BFIRST is a joint project of the DSWD and World Bank that aims to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 on the welfare of low-income households and strengthen DSWD’s social protection delivery systems to be adaptive and efficient.
