DSWD’s ‘AKAP’ grantees get financial help at PBBM-led aid-giving in Puerto Princesa

AKAP financial help in Puerto Princesa

Beneficiaries of the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) ‘Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita’ (AKAP) program are among those who received financial assistance from President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr during the distribution of the Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolk and Families (PAFFF) at the Edward S. Hagedorn Coliseum in Puerto Princesa City in Palawan on Thursday (July 18).

More than 6,000 El Niño-hit farmers and fisherfolk who were assessed and validated as eligible AKAP beneficiaries received Php10,000 from the DSWD Field Office-MIMAROPA.

Due to inclement weather, President Marcos was unable to proceed to a similar PAFFF-giving activity at the Romblon State University in Odiongan town.

The PAFFF event in Romblon was supervised by DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian and other key government officials including Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benhur Abalos, Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary Francis Laurel, and DSWD Undersecretary for Operations Monina Josefina Romualdez.
