A policewoman was killed when her head was run over by a mixer truck while two others were wounded in a motorcycle accident yesterday in Pasig City.
The fatality was identified as PCpl. Arvi Jenifer Dagus Leaño, assigned at District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB) of Eastern Police District (EPD).
Two more victims identified as August Yabut Y. Santos , 42, and Celiste Yabut, 43, were wounded in the accident.
Police arrested the driver of the truck identified as Guillermo Laurente jr. 50, driver of Hydraulic mixer truck with plate number UQY-410.
Reports reaching Camp Crame said the accident occurred at around 7:10 am along C5 service road, northbound in Barangay Bagong Ilog, Pasig City.
Initial investigation showed the victim was driving her motorcycle when she was sideswiped by the truck.
The victim fell from the motorcycle and her head was run over by the rear left wheel of the truck that caused her instantaneous death.
Another motorcycle where two other victims were onboard was also hit by the truck.
Authorities are now conducting follow up investigation.
