Ecija act of giving gadgets, anti-COVID kits goes viral

SAN ANTONIO, Nueva Ecija – The municipal government’s deeds of providing free anti-COVID-19 hygiene kits and gadgets such as face masks and thermal scanners to the Department of Education in this town prior to the opening of classes has gone viral on social media.

The Facebook page of the municipal government has been flooded with praises and expressions of gratitude to Mayor Arvin C. Salonga, Vice Mayor Julie Maxwell, and the Sangguniang Bayan, including Ester D. Ramos, the Dep-Ed supervisor.

The municipal government officials have been hailed for their support to the teachers.

Salamat po sa blessing Mayor Arvin Salonga! Mula sa pamunuan at mga guro ng San Mariano High School!,” said a netizen named Jommel Paz with Ghel Ly and 8 others.

“To God Be the Highest Glory. God Bless us po, Maraming maraming salamat po!,” wrote Margie De Guzman, with Allen Mesina and five others.

The Luyos Elementary School FB page which has 26 likes and 12 heart-reactions also said: “Ang Luyos ES teaching force sa pangungunga ni Madam principal Rhodora Banzon at DS na si Madam Ester Ramos ay lubos na nagpapasalamat sa mainit na pagbati sa ating ginagalang na Mayor Arvin C. Salonga para sa lahat ng mga guro ngayong Teachers month. Maraming Salamat po sa inyong suporta.”

Noelito Noe thankedthe mayor, vice mayor, the SB and Ramos. His FB post generated 90 reactions.

Aside from free face masks and thermal scanners, Salonga said the municipal government also gave the teachers their supply of vitamin-C, alcohol, disinfectants, and others which they need as protection while doing their tasks of educating the students through this new mode of blended learning during this pandemic.

Salonga added they also gave copier or xerox machines to the Dep-Ed-San Antonio, including ink and bond papers.
