AN eight-year-old boy died after being accidentally shot inside his home in Tondo, Maynila on Thursday night.
Initial investigation by the Manila Police District -Police Station 2 stated that hospital authorities were no longer able to revive the victim. He died from a lone gunshot wound in the body.
Meantime, the MPD-homicide is investigating the boy’s father, said to be assigned at the Navotas City Police Station.
Reportedly, the accident happened at past 6 p.m. at the third floor of the their residence.
A witness told probers that he was at the second floor watching television when he heard a gunshot.
He immediately went to the first floor to check but found nothing. He then decided to go to the third floor where he was met by the victim’s two siblings, saying the victim was bloodied.
The victim was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital but was declared dead-on- arrival (DOA).
An investigation is underway to establish what happened.
