ALDEN Richards is happy for the very positive comments his new show, “The Gift”, is getting from various viewers who express their approval in social media. “Salamat po sa magagandang feedback na natatanggap namin dito at pati mula sa ibang bansa from viewers who watch the show sa internet,” says Asia’s Multi-Media Star. “Gabi-gabi, trending talaga kami sa Twitter sa dami ng sumusubaybay sa show. This truly inspires us ng buong cast and our director, L.A. Madridejos, para mas pagbutihin pa ang aming trabaho at pagandahin ang bawat episode ng ‘The Gift’.”
Viewers say they find the story of Alden as Sep truly interesting and absorbing. He was separated from his mother, Jean Garcia, and got lost in Quiapo as a little boy. He was raised raised by Jo Berry and became a fruit vendor in Divisoria who was shot in the head, became blind and is later on given the special gift of seeing into a person’s past and future.
Viewer July Sibugan says: “Alden internalizes his role very well. He has really become one of our finest young actors today. He is well supported by the entire cast, from Elizabeth Oropesa and Jean Garcia to Jo Berry, Mikee Quintos and Mikoy Morales. Thanks to all of them for making our evenings very entertaining.”
And this is from Trevor John Gaerlan: “I’m now a fan of Alden and ‘The Gift’. Kaabang-abang talaga ang bawat episode for us to find out kung ano ang magiging journey ni Sep gabi-gabi. Thanks to GMA-7 for giving us a great show like ‘The Gift’. Everyone should watch it, both young and old viewers alike as it offers good entertainment and valuable life lessons.”
Of course, there are also haters who bash the show, or any show for that matter, but Alden advises his fans to just ignore them. “Bayaan nyo na lang po sila,” he tells the loyal viewers of “The Gift”. “We cannot please everyone. Laging may bashers ang kahit anong show. Basta kaming involved sa show, we will just do our best lagi para husayan ang aming trabaho to make sure we offer a good and entertaining episode every night.”
