Diego on ex-GF Sofia: I’m happy for her

“Not that I was not serious before pero iba ang mindset ko ngayon,” aniya.

“Honestly, I’m so happy for her,” sinserong tinuran ni Diego. “I’ve seen the baby, she’s very cute and I’m happy for her and Daniel.”

After all these years, wala na kaming nakitang hinanakit ni Diego sa kanyang ama. Kung magkakaroon lamang ng pagkakaron ay gusto niyang maging malapit muli sa kanyang ama and is even willing to work with him in a project.

He also bonded with his three young half-siblings with Sunshine Cruz na sina Angeline, Samantha at Francheska who all look up to him as their big brother.

“Nami-miss ko sila and we have a good relationship even with Tita Shine,” deklara ni Diego.

“I am very happy and inspired right how, pero hindi nangangahulugan that I’m in love now with someone, hindi po. You can be happy and inspired naman with other things, di ba,” diin pa niya.

Sampung taon na rin sa showbiz si Diego at natuto rin umano siyang maging humble at makipag-kapwa tao and gained friends in the process.

Diego was 15 years old when he decided to return to the Philippines from Sydney, Australia to bond with his dad and half-siblings and other relatives pero wala umano sa isip niya noon na pumasok sa showbiz. He got the first taste of it nang siya’y maging escort ng kanyang Tita Shine sa isang awards night dahil hindi available noon ang kanyang dad. But it was Bernard Cloma who brought him to ABS-CBN and the rest ay history nang maituturing.

Diego is thankful to Star Magic and ABS-CBN dahil sa break na ibinigay sa kanya. Among the TV projects na kanyang ginawa include “Mara Clara” in 2011, “Growing Up,” “Oh My G!,” “Forevermore,” “Pangako sa `Yo,” “Pusong Ligaw” at ang “Los Bastardos” na pinagsamahan nila nina Jake Cuenca, Marco Gumabao, Albie Casino at Joshua Colet.
