Gloria Gaynor nagpasayaw ng audience sa concert

October 04, 2019

WE were brought back to the mid-70s era nang mapanood namin ang live  concert ng veteran American hitmaker at Grammy Hall of Fame awardee na si Gloria Gaynor sa  grand ballroom ng Okada Manila, one of the biggest if not the biggest ballroom we’ve ever seen.  Brought in by Ovation Productions and produced ng dating “That’s Entertainment” member-turned concert producer na si Joed Serrano, halos kakaunti ang millennials na nanood sa full-house ballroom ng Okada Manila dahil majority sa mga naroon  ay in their `40s at  mga senior citizens na siyang umabot sa peak ng kasikatan ni Gloria nung mid-70s hanggang 80s nung uso-usong pa ang disco music.

Who will ever forget the classic hit songs of Gloria tulad ng “I Will Survive,” “Never Can Say Goodbye,” “I Am What I Am” (na paboritong song ng Diamond Star na si Maricel Soriano), “Reach Out I’ll Be There,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” “Last Dance,” “Walk On By,” “The Power of Love,” “Every Breath You Take,” “We Can Start All Over Again,” “The Eye of a Tiger,” “Stop in the Name of Love,” “First Be A Woman,” “The Heat is On” at marami pang iba?

Despite their age, people stood up to dance laluna nang kantahin ni Gloria ang kanyang signature ditty na “I Will Survive” and her encore number na “Last Dance”.
