JANE Oineza was very honest at the zoom presscon for her TV5 romantic drama, “I Got You”. She’s her family’s breadwinner and she said she was jobless since the lockdown, so it was really a hard time for her and her whole family.

“Work, work, work muna po tayo kaya walang time magbakasyon, lalo sa abroad,” she said when asked if she intends to go out of town during the All Saints Day weekend. “Nakaka-miss din pong mag-travel but marami pong nawalang pera dahil sa pandemic. And right now, ang dalangin ko po, sana, madagdagan ng second season ang ‘I Got You’ para humaba pa po ang telecast namin at may regular income.”

She’s thankful that ABS-CBN allowed her to do a show with TV5. “Kasi kahit nasa TV5 po ako ngayon, I remain to be a Star Magic Talent,” she clarifies. “I’m just thankful na may blessing nila ang pagtatrabaho ko sa Brightlight Productions na producer ng ‘I Got You’ sa TV5.”

She’s also grateful that feedback to “I Got You” is very positive from satisfied viewers who are all satisfied with the acting of the three major stars (Jane, Beauty Gonzalez and RK Bagatsing) and with the direction of ace filmmaker Dan Villegas, based on the script of Rod Marmol of “Cuddle Weather” which also starred RK Bagatsing.

“Love triangle po siya pero naiiba sa usual love triangle stories kasi may halong comedy siya,” adds Jane. “I play Riza, isang maarteng vlogger and the name of my vlog is ‘Riza Beautiful Day’. I’m the current girlfriend of RK as Louie at komunsulta ako kay Beauty as Del, isang psychological therapist dahil may problema ako sa relationship ko with him. Ang hindi ko alam, bago ako, si Beauty muna pala ang naging girlfriend niya at may anak sila, si Chantal Vilela na lumaki sa Spain, kaya naging kumplikado ang sitwasyon.”

So how is it working with RK Bagatsing? “We’ve done ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya’ and also appeared together sa movie ng Regal na ‘Us Again’, so friends na kami and everything went well. Natuwa kami pareho sa ‘I Got You’ kasi the presentation of the story is very different at ibang-iba pati ang mga linyang dine-deliver namin. Kaya naman siguro marami raw talaga ang nagkakagusto sa show. Panoorin nyo po siya every Sunday at 2 PM pagkatapos ng ‘Sunday Noontime Live’ sa TV5.”
