Perfect songs for valentine

February 13, 2020

GMA Music offers three new love ditties in this beautiful month of love and romance. Whether you’re in love, feeling blue, or wanting to focus on yourself, GMA Music offers the perfect songs this Valentine season with three new singles from talented Kapuso artists Angel Guardian, Bryan Chong, and Princess Velasco.

Promising Kapuso singer Angel Guardian, who stole the limelight from Kisses Delavin in Regal’s comedy, “D’ Ninang”, speaks about self-love in her newest single titled “No Sound” which is composed by Nica del Rosario.

“Itong song na ‘to sobrang nakakarelate ako sa story and I think marami ring makaka-relate na ibang tao kasi kinukuwento niya ‘yung past relationship nila. Bigla na lang naglaho ‘yung feelings and parang hindi na tulad ng dati,” says Angel, who should seriously considering her family name as it makes her sound like a comedian, not a beautiful singer-actress.

The half-Filipino and half Israeli-Palestinian Kapuso beauty related the song’s powerful message about moving on. “For me, it’s a fight song kasi nakaka-empower siya sa mga tao out there na iniisip nilang hindi nila kayang mag-move on, but they actually can. It’s all about self-love, pag nag-decide ka na kaya mo on your own, then makakaya mo ‘yun. Just be positive.”

Bryan Chong’s second single under GMA Music entitled ‘Takipsilim’ will make sure you won’t feel alone. The rising artist, who also composed the song himself, says it took him almost three years to write ‘Takipsilim’. He reveals that his last romantic breakup prompted him to finish the lyrics just last year.

‘Takipsilim’ is about a heart that’s healing from a recent separation and conveys an important lesson about handling relationships. “It imparts na dapat, maging sensitive tayo sa nararamdaman ng partner natin. Mayroon tayong hindi masabi sa isa't isa na, kapag nagtagal, 'yun ang magiging cause ng pagkawala ng magic and spark sa relasyon.”

Meanwhile, it was a challenge and a delight at the same time for Princess Velasco to give a new interpretation to South Border’s R&B hit “Ikaw Nga” as her second single under GMA Music. She reveals how she closely worked with GMA Music to add her personal style to the rendition of the song which has already been performed by several artists and was the theme song of GMA’s well-loved program ‘Mulawin’.

The OPM Acoustic Princess says: “Siyempre ang daming versions na rin talaga niya. Kaya nga nung sinabi sa akin nina Sir Kedy (Sanchez) na ito nga 'yung gagawin ko, sobrang excited ako dahil maganda 'yung song and at the same time, kabado rin ako as it's a challenge for me I guess. Paano mo siya babaliin in such a way na medyo iba siya, but it is remains true to the soul of the song. Natuwa ako kasi nakuha nila yung vibe na gusto ko.”

“No Sound”, “Takipsilim” and “Ikaw Nga”, all Valentine songs perfect for this season, are now available for streaming on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, and other digital platforms worldwide.
