STACEY Gabriel is a Viva contract star who auditioned for a role in “Ang Probinsyano” and was handpicked by the show’s star and director, Coco Martin, to play the role of Master Sgt. Tricia Almario, a member of the crime fighting group called Task Force Aguila. She suffered a gruesome fate in the hands of Baron Geisler as the villainous Bungo who kidnapped and tortured her, then later raped her violently.

It was an intense role and Stacey subsequently got positive feedback for her effective performance. All in all, she stayed in “Ang Probinsyano” for about three months. Her character had to take a leave of absence from the police force to heal from the traumatic events she went through. Since her character didn’t die, there’s just a big possibility she might later be called again to reprise it in future episodes.

Stacey says her experience with “Ang Probinsyano” is just so memorable. “It was really an unforgettable one. My acting abilities were brought to new levels because of the intensity of the scenes, especially throughout the abduction storyline, and I could feel myself growing not only as an actress, but also as a human,” she says. This is really my passion. I want to thank Direk Coco Martin for giving me such a great break and making my dream come true. I’m grateful to him for casting me and giving me the honor to work with and learn from him. I’ve always admired him as an actor, but I became an even bigger fan when I witnessed what a good, well grounded, generous person he is.
