SUNSHINE Dizon is back in GMA-7’s Afternoon Prime where her past soap, “Ika-6 na Utos”, used to reign supreme. She is in the cast of the Kapuso station’s new soap, “Inagaw na Bituin”, which will replace “Ika-5 Utos” that ends this Friday. This is called a kantaserye as it will feature lots of music and many unforgettable songs throughout the run of the show.

Sunshine will share topbilling with Angelika dela Cruz, Marvin Agustin, Angelu de Leon, Jackielou Blanco and Gabby Eigenmann, along with the young stars who are given their biggest breaks in the new series, Kyline Alcantara and Therese Malvar. They will be supported by Buboy Villar, Manolo Pedrosa, Renz Valerio, Patricia Tumulak, Alyanna Asistio and Melbeline Caluag.

At the “Inagaw ng Bituin” presscon, Sunshine admitted that she has dropped the case she filed against her estranged husband, Timothy Tan. They have not really reconciled, but she says they’re in much better and friendlier terms now. But the concubinage case she filed against her husband’s alleged mistress, Clarisma Sison, goes on. “Yun, tuloy 'yon,” she says.

“Inagaw na Bituin” is directed by Mark Reyes, who denied the allegation that it is copied from Sharon Cuneta’s “Bituing Walang Ningning”. “Malayung-malayo ito roon as this is an entirely new concept about two talented sisters, Kyline as Elsa and Therese as Arielle, na pinaghiwalay ng tadhana and will turn out later to be rival singers,” he says. “It will feature a lot of original songs na ginastusan talaga ng GMA-7, so I won’t be surprised if they’d release an original sound track album with all the songs later on. All those who love good drama and good music will surely enjoy watching ‘Inagaw na Bituin’ starting this Monday, February 11, so don’t miss it dahil first episode pa lang, pasabog na talaga.”
