VIVA 2020 vision: A bigger year ahead

ITINUTURING na banner year ng Viva Films ang taong 2019 matapos silang makagawa ng 19 films na ang pinakahuling ipinalabas ay ang  nag-number  1 sa 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival movie na “Miracle in Cell No. 7” na pinagbidahan ni Aga Muhlach na kung isasama ang extension nito ay abot ito ng P550-M o mahigit pa.

Ang Viva Films lamang ang lone movie production outfit  na nakapag-release ng ganitong karaming pelikula sa loob lamang ng isang taon (2019).

Halos doble naman ang magiging output ng kumpanya sa taong (2020) at ang iba rito ay naka-can at nasa ongoing production na.

Naging opening salvo ng Viva Films ang “Nightshift” ni Yam Concepcion mula sa panulat at direksiyon ni Yam Laranas at isusunod naman dito ang “On Vodka, Beers and Regrets” nina Bela Padilla at JC Santos na sinulat at dinirek ni Irene Villamor ngayong February 5. Naka-line-up naman for February 19 ang “UnTrue” nina Cristine Reyes at Xian Lim.

Ang iba pang naka-line-up for release ng Viva Films this year include “Hindi Tayo Pwede” nina Marco Gumabao, Lovi Poe at Tony Labrusca; “Tililing” nina Gina Pareño, Baron Geisler, Candy Pangilinan, Donnalyn Bartolometo, Yumi Lacsamana at Chad Kinis; “Sunny” na pagtatambalan nina Sharon Cuneta at Regine Velasquez, “Joaquin Bordado” na pagbibidahan ni Dingdong Dantes, “The Devoted” ni Anne Curtis, “Spellbound” nina Bela Padilla at Marco Gumabao, “A Man and A Woman” ni Aga Muhlach, “Sa Muli” nina Xian Lim at Ryza Cenon, “You F Oh!” na pagbibidahan ni Christian Bables, “PakBoys” nina Janno Gibbs, Andrew E., Dennis Padilla at ang bagong Viva actor na si Jerald Napoles, “100 Tula Para Kay Stella 2” na balik tambalan nina Bela Padilla at JC Santos, ang reunion team-up nina Alessandra de Rossi at Empoy Marquez in “Walang Ka-Paris” in co-production with Spring Films, “More Than Blue” nina Bela Padilla, JC Santos at Arjo Atayde, “Instructions Not Included” nina Janno Gibbs at Xia Vigor, “Ultimate Oppa” nina Bela Padilla at ang Korean actor na si Kim Gun-Woo, “Penduko” ni Matteo Guidicelli, “The Wedding Breaker” nina Bela Padilla at Alessandra de Rossi, “Ang Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam” na pinagbibidahan ng magkasintahang Kim Molina at Jerald Napoles, “A Hard Day” nina Dingdong Dantes at John Arcilla, “Mang Jose” ni Janno Gibbs, “Love the Way You Lie” nina Alex Gonzaga, Xian Lim at Kylie Verzosa at iba pa.

Ang Viva empire  na pinamumuan ng chairman and CEO na si Boss Vic del Rosario has different platforms tucked in their sleeves.  Bukod sa movie production, the company is into recording business under Viva Records, producing live concerts and events through Viva Live, publishing , artists’ management sa Viva Artists Agency, food business, cable and TV, digital content and a host of other business ventures.

“We are targeting 34 movies this year,” pahayag ni Boss Vic.

Ang media launch ng Viva Films 2020 Vision ay pinangunahan ni Boss Vic with his children na sina Vincent, Veronique at Valerie at iba pang top executives ng kumpanya.  Namataan din doon ang marami sa kanilang mga contract stars tulad nina Bela Padilla, Janno Gibbs, Xian Lim, Yam Concepcion, Yassi Pressman, Jerald Napoles, Xia Vigor, Donallyn Bartolome, Alessandra de Rossi, Marco Gallo at iba pa.  Dumalo rin sa nasabing okasyon ang ilang movie directors na may proyekto sa Viva tulad nina Direk Joel Lamangan, ang magkasintahang Dan Villegas at Antoinette Jadaone, Perci Intalan, Yam Laranas, Pedring Lopez, Nuel Naval, Roman Perez at iba pa.
