Viva on a roll

FRESH from the success of "Jowable" and "Unforgettable," Viva Films announces their line up of new releases for the last quarter of 2019.  

November opens with Nuuk, a romantic thriller starring Aga Muhlach and Alice Dixson. Meanwhile, Cinta Itu Buta (Love Is Blind) the Bahasa remake of Kita Kita opens on November 13. The new version tells the same story of the blind girl Diah and of her caring neighbor Nik. They are played by Indonesia's top actors, the lovely Shandy Atlia and top comedian Dodit Mulyanto. Viva Communications Inc. partnered with Marsio Juwono and MM2 Reflection Pictures and Ideosource Entertainment of Indonesia to produce the picture.

This is the first time that a local film has been picked up for production by a foreign producer and director.

Other Viva releases include: Adan which tackles the effects of a sexually-charged romance between two women and it opens on Nov. 20. It stars the gorgeous duo of Rhen Escano and Cindy Miranda.

Mananita produced by TEN 17 Films for Viva opens on December 4. Written by internationally acclaimed Lav Diaz, the film stars Bela Padilla on the path of revenge against the killers of her parents.

Mananita was the lone Philippine entry in competetion section of the Tokyo Film Festival 2019 where it premiered last October 29.  

Capping 2019 is the local remake of the Korean blockbuster 'Miracle In Cell No.7 with Aga Muhlach in another extraordinary portrayal. It is Viva's official entry to the MMFF on December 25.
