THE Bureau of Immigration (BI) announced that essential immigration services will be provided during the upcoming Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair to be held on August 2-3 at the Leyte Normal University in Tacloban City.
BI chief Norman Tansingco said the service caravan aims to provide easy access to BI services, including tourist visa extensions, exit clearances, dual citizenship applications, and other essential transactions.
Tansingco urged the public to make the most of this opportunity, saying the caravan is the 6th in a series of service caravans conducted by the BI this year. The BI earlier held service caravans in Zamboanga, Iloilo, Baguio, Batangas, and Cavite.
The initiative is part of the services of the Department of Justice (DOJ) for the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair, which brings different government services closer to the people.
“We encourage everyone to visit the booths and utilize the services offered by the Bureau of Immigration and other government agencies. This event highlights the government’s commitment to transparency and accountability while also demonstrating our dedication to serving the public efficiently,” he added.
