A FORMER Pampanga town vice mayor who is also the brother of Patrol party-list Rep. Jorge Bustos was found dead along with another person inside the office of a security agency in Bgy. Pulung Maragul, Angeles City last Friday afternoon.
Police reports identified the solon’s brother as Jorge Bustos III, 46, operations manager of Blue Gems Security Agency, who served as vice mayor of Masantol, Pampanga in 2003.
Jorge III and one Erick Cariaga, of legal age, resident of Loyola Heights in Quezon City, were found dead inside the office of the security agency with gunshot wounds.
The caretaker of the security agency office identified as John Maverick Cunanan, 29, told investigators that he was taking a shower at around 4:30 p.m. when he heard gunshots.
Cunanan said that Jorge III and Cariaga arrived at the office at 9 a.m. and remained there until the gunshots were heard.
The caretaker added that he checked the office and saw the two dead men inside.
The Police Station 3 was notified about the incident at 5:15 p.m.
Cunanan also told the police that no other person was in the office from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Angeles City Police said they are still investigating the incident and did not give any more information.
The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) issued a statement yesterday afternoon, with Brig. Gen. Valeriano De Leon ordering an in-depth investigation into the shooting incident.
The PRO3 said that a .45 caliber Springfield pistol with a magazine containing three cartridges, three fired cartridges, three deformed bullets, a unit CCTV recorder and two mobile phones were recovered from the scene.
CCTV data and the mobile phones will be used to determine the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.
