The FPJ Panday Bayanihan partylist aims to fully implement the Magna Carta for public transportation drivers to protect their rights and provide adequate benefits. Brian Poe Llamanzares, the first nominee of the FPJ Partylist, stated that he wants to expand the proposal so that benefits can also cover all public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers.
There is a pending House Bill 11227, also known as the Magna Carta for Tricycle Drivers and Operators.
“Our goal is to make the proposed bill expanded to protect all drivers, ensure their rights, and guarantee they receive social security and healthcare benefits,” Poe said. Due to the drivers’ unstable or insufficient income, the FPJ Panday Bayanihan Partylist also aims to provide a scholarship program for the children of drivers to help them study and achieve their dreams.
The FPJ Panday Bayanihan partylist also intends to support drivers through financial assistance and training programs.
