ALL expired student’s permits, as well as driver’s and conductor’s licenses will remain valid until December 31, 2020, a ranking official of the Land Transporation Office (LTO) said.

This was announced by Atty. Clarence V. Guinto, Director of LTO-National Capital Region-West, following guidance from Department of Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade and Assistant Secretary and LTO Chief Edgar Galvate.

The guidance is based on the resolution issued by the Inter-Agency Task Force (AITF) No. 79 Series 2020 last October 15, 2020 ending the restriction period for ages 17-21 and 60-65.

Guinto said the LTO is ready to serve the said age brackets and that senior citizens will be prioritized.

Tama po priority natin ang ating mga senior citizens,” said Guinto.

Guinto assured that the agency is strictly implementing the health and sanitation protocols recommended by IATF to prevent the spread out of COVID-19.
