Farmer-cum-quarry operator gunned down in Cabanatuan

CABANATUAN CITY — A farmer-cum-quarry operator was gunned down by two unidentified men in this city on Tuesday night.

City police head Lt. Col. Barnard Danie Dasugo identified the slain victim as Norman Garcia, 54, of Bgy. Sapang, this city.

Garcia was driving a black Toyota Fortuner (CBF-3566) on his way to Bgy. Mayapyap at 6:15 p.m. when two men casually walking on the road peppered his vehicle with bullets before fleeing on board a motorcycle towards Bgy. Mayapyap Sur.

Garcia, who was reportedly engaged in quarry operations in General Natividad town, was declared dead on arrival at the Premiere Medical Center here after sustaining several gunshot wounds in the body.

Provincial police director Col. Jaime O. Santos said the motive behind the killing is still being investigated including the suspects’ identities.
