A FATHER who allegedly raped his own daughter last year in Cagayan de Oro City and then went into hiding was arrested by joint elements from the Manila Police District (MPD) and the Provincial Regional Office 10 the other day in Balut, Tondo, Manila.
Slated to be presented to Cagayan de Oro Regional Trial Court Branch 19 Presiding Judge Evelyn Gamotin-Nery is accused Rommel Daytia, 49, a checker, of 2288 Rodriguez corner Guidote Streets in Balut, Tondo, Manila.
Daytia was nabbed in front of his home at around 3:30 a.m.
Police said he is facing charges for allegedly raping his 16-year-old daughter in their province. He allegedly went to Manila elude arrest.
The court did not recommend any bail for to his temporary liberty in connection with the incestuous rape case filed against him.
Daytia’s arrest was pursuant to an arrest warrant issued by the Cagayan de Oro RTC on September 28, 2020.
