Filipino Spitfire Drex Zamboanga Gears Up For BRAVE CF Debut In 2026

After a period away from competition, Drex “T-Rex” Zamboanga is ready to return to the cage and make his mark in BRAVE Combat Federation.

The 32-year-old Filipino standout is looking to start a new chapter in his career with the world’s fastest-growing and most global mixed martial arts organization.

“I have been away long enough, and I am hungry to compete again. I signed with BRAVE CF to fight, and I want to maximize this contract,” Zamboanga said, highlighting his eagerness to make the most of his multi-bout deal.

His maiden appearance under the promotion’s banner was originally set for BRAVE CF 95 this past May, where he was slated to face unbeaten Bahraini prospect and current No. 2-ranked lightweight contender Ramazan Gitinov.

The bout, highly anticipated by fans, was called off when Zamboanga suffered a lateral collateral ligament injury just before fight week.

Since that setback, Zamboanga has been focused on recovery. After months of physical therapy and dedicated strength training, he has been cleared to train fully and is ready to return to competition.

“My body feels great now,” he shared. “The rehab was tough, but it worked. I am healthy, I am training at full intensity again, and I am starting to feel my groove come back every day.”

Known as one of the Philippines’ elite homegrown talents, Zamboanga comes into BRAVE CF with a 14-6 professional record, including eight finishes.

“T-Rex” first made waves as the URCC bantamweight champion on the local scene, claiming the vacant belt in September 2017 with a TKO win over fellow Filipino knockout artist Rex De Lara.

He later defended that title in April 2019, defeating South Korea’s Seung Hyun Cho via doctor’s stoppage.

Zamboanga then expanded his career internationally, posting a 3-1 run that included wins over Detchadin Sorsirisuphathin, Rahul Raju, and Team Lakay’s Adonis Sevilleno.

With his health restored and motivation renewed, he sees BRAVE CF as the perfect platform for resurgence.

“This feels like a fresh start for me,” Zamboanga stated. “BRAVE CF gives me the chance to reset, to prove myself again, and to rekindle my career in 2026. I believe my best performances are still ahead of me.”
