AN assurance was made by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) headed by Director General Lt Gen Raul Del Rosario, that Topflite Academy of Aviation Inc. (TAAI) will remain under strict monitoring despite the lifting of its precautionary suspension.

The suspension came following the incident involving a Cessna near Iba Airport in Zambales in July and Del Rosario said that CAAP lifted the suspension of TAAI’s Flight Training Operations effective August 6, 2025, but required the academy to submit corrective action plans to address inspection findings within the prescribed period.

In addition, all pilots involved in the incident remain under suspension pending the outcome of the investigation of CAAP.

CAAP spokesman Eric Apolonio said Topflite Academy of Aviation Inc. (TAAI) will remain in heightened monitoring and surveillance to ensure compliance with all safety requirements.

Apolonio also said that in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to uphold the highest standards of aviation safety and accountability, CAAP remains steadfast in its commitment to full transparency and rigorous oversight to safeguard aviation safety.
