Flights cancelled due to ‘Florita’

SEVERAL flights of Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific bound for various domestic destinations were cancelled on Tuesday due to bad weather brought about by typhoon Florita.

A report from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said that that all the flights of Cebu Pacific to Tuguegarao, Batanes and Maconacon airport (Isabela) were all suspended as of Tuesday morning.

CAAP spokesman Eric Apolonio said that cancelled flights due to inclement weather at the destination as of 7:11 a.m. on August 23, 2022 (Tuesday) are the following: PAL Express (2P) 2P 2932/2933 Manila-Basco-Manila; CebGo (DG)–DG 6031/6032 Manila- San Jose(Mindoro)- Manila.

Flights to Baguio, Laoag,Vigan,Lingayen and Pangasinan remain under normal operations as of 8 a.m. yesterday morning.

Airports under areas 1 and 2 have secured their power station/ emergency generators, runway equipment and other airport terminal facilities.

According to Apolonio, all precautionary measures and standard operating procedures are being implemented as wind signal is hoisted and upgraded.
