The Bureau of Immigration (BI) announced the arrest of four aliens wanted for crimes in their own country.
In a report, BI-fugitive search unit (FSU) chief Rendel Ryan Sy identified the first three suspects as Ueda Koji, 27, Kiyohara Jun, 29 and Suzuki Seiji, 29, who were all nabbed inside a subdivision in Paranaque City.
All three were arrested pursuant to a mission order issued by BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco, after receiving information from the Japanese government about their crimes.
Based on records, the three have outstanding warrants of arrest since May 2024 issued by the Omiya Summary Court for Fraud in Violation of the Japanese Penal Code.
Following this, Sy said his group arrested Sawada Masaya, 39, who was bound to be at the premises of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.
It was learned that all four subjects are said to be founding members of a telecom fraud syndicate based in Cambodia with criminal charges related to Unlawful Capture, Confinement, Extortion, and Fraud.
The BI also announced the recent deportation of Aoi Ikeda, 36, who was arrested last January 15 at the NAIA Terminal 3.
Ikeda was deported last June 26 to Osaka after the BI found him guilty of violation of immigration laws. As a consequence of his deportation, Ikeda’s name was included in the BI’s blacklist, effectively barring him from reentering the Philippines.
All four aliens are now facing deportation charges for undesirability.
