Four more, nabbed at ‘Recto University’

OPERATIVES from the Manila Police District- Special Mayor’s Reaction Team (MPD-SMaRT) arrested four men allegedly engaging in the manufacture of fake public documents during an operation at the so-called “Recto University” in Sta. Cruz, Manila.

Charged with violation of Article 172 (Falsification by Private Individuals and Use of Falsified Documents), Article 176 (Manufacturing and possession of instruments or implements for falsification) and Manila City Revised Ordinance No. 8092 Sec. 123 par. (Obstruction) before the Manila Prosecutor’s Office are suspects Daniel Corsino, 49; Jay-ar Pasco, 22; Amadeo Caballes, 54 and Jeson Labargan, 27.

They were nabbed at 3:20 p.m. of Saturday during an entrapment operation at No. 1749 Int., Quezon Blvd., C.M Recto Ave., Sta. Cruz, Manila.

Confiscated were an NEC Laptop, one of HP PC CPU, a Canon Printer, two fake PWD IDs and assorted signages.

PMajor Edward Samonte, head of SMaRT, said the operation came after they received mounting complaints regarding the proliferation of fake documents like licenses and IDs.

Before this, SMaRT also nabbed six suspects for the same offense along Recto Avenue in Sta. Cruz, Manila.
