Funeral parlor owner dies in Laguna ambush

A 61-YEAR-OLD businessman was ambushed by riding-in-tandem suspects while the victim on board his motorcycle yesterday morning along the Atienza Compound National Highway in Bgy. Nyeva, San Pedro City, Laguna.

Police identified the fatality as Manolito Escudero, of 92 Bgy. Sto Niño, San Pedro City and owner of a funeral parlor in San Pedro, Laguna.

Escudero died from two gunshot wounds in the head.

Initial investigation showed that the victim while on board his motorcycle was shot by the still undentified suspect who was wearing a black jacket, with helmet and face mask.

The attack occurred at 8:40 a.m.

The RIT suspects escaped.

Police will immediately conducted a manhunt and dragnet operation for the possible identification and arrest of the suspects.
