GABBI Garcia has a new show on GMA News TV, “IRL (In Real Life)”, a youth-oriented reality program where she will bring you the latest and the hottest trending topics that excite young millennials nowadays in this digital age. This is aired on Thursdays at 9:15 PM on GMA News TV.

The 21-year old Gabbi is such a good and articulate host with a strong online presence, so this is right up her alley. Her fans are waiting for each new episode of the show because Gabbi has a far reaching influence in social media.

But what can she say about social media also being a venue for hatred for nasty people who enjoy bashing others, specially celebrities?

“Well, I believe we have freedom of speech in this country but still, we all have to be mindful of what we post on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram,” she says. “Even if we are at liberty to speak our minds and share our opinions with other, we still have to be sure that when we do so, we’re not just trying to attack, hurt or disrespect other people, but we want to share relevant information about a topic at hand. And it’s your responsibility to really know what you’re talking about and your opinions should be backed up by facts and research.”

She agrees that social media can be used as a weapon. “It’s not just the Generation X, but everyone in general. They forget that social media is a gift for communication, to connect meaningfully with others, and should not be used as a weapon in hurting others.”

Gabbi’s new show, “IRL”, is part of GMA News TV’s move to strengthen their primetime lineup at the 9:15 PM slot. This started last week with the return of fresh episodes for their shows. On Mondays, you can watch Vicky Morales in “Good Vibes”, a show that aims to impart positive stories and good vibes to its viewers. On Tuesdays, Kara David will be sharing her latest discoveries as she goes food tripping in “Pinas Sarap”.

On Wednesdays, it’s the turn of Susan Enriquez to teach you new ways of earning an income in this era of the new normal in “Pera Paraan”. On Fridays, let Drew Arellano take you as he travel to new exciting places in this season of the new normal in “Biyahe ni Drew”.

It’s really nice that regular programming is slowly returning to both GMA News TV and GMA-7, a clear indication of our lives also returning to normal as we learn how to adjust to the limitations of the lockdown. So don’t miss hanging out with GMA News TV’s 9:15 PM shows that will not only entertain you but also impart share with you valid information about a lot of things in life and our environment.

Going back to Gabbi, she’s also happy as her BF, Khalil Ramos, who just moved to GMA Network, will soon be taping a new series with her. This is a romance drama titled “Love You Stranger” and they both say they’re excited to work with each other in a teleserye.
