Get your health certificates – Mayor Honey to all employees in Manila establishments

EMPLOYEES of various establishments in Manila are being urged by Mayor Honey Lacuna to already begin securing the required health certificates and occupational permits from City Hall.

Lacuna said that apart from personal applications, employees may also use the online system within the comfort of their home.

The lady mayor said the health certificates are under the Manila Health Department headed by Dr. Poks Pangan and covers all employees of businesses as a matter of requirement which is renewed on a yearly basis.

“Ito ay para mapaalam nyo sa inyong kliyente na kayo ay malusog, kasi, kayo po ang humaharap sa mga klliyente. Dapat assured sila na kayo ay malusog din at isang paraan diyan ay makapag-apply kayo ng health certificate,” she said.

Lacuna explained that the first step is to download Go!Manila App via Playstore for android users and App Store for IOS users or login to www.cityofmanila.ph.

“Register and sign up using your active mobile number …’wag papalit-palit ng number kasi diyan nagkaka-problema,” the mayor said.

“Activate account using one-time-pin (OTP) which will be sent to your registered cellphone number. Choose E-Government and click ‘Occupational Permit/Health Certificate,’f ill out the form and choose a slot when you can go to the place where you can complete your application for health certificate and then wait for confirmation via text message,” Lacuna went on.

Once confirmed, Lacuna said one has to go to RASAC Covered Court at the corner of Rizal Avenue and Alvarez Street where the city’s public health laboratory is temporarily located.

After getting an appointment, one should bring the text from GO!Manila along with one’s own stool sample; use 1×1 size profile picture in the said app and present latest valid ID and drug test fromb Online payment is P625 covering the certificate, stool exam and drug test.

Lacuna said that additional lab tests are now being required by the Department of Health (DOH).

While formerly, only sputum is needed, chest x-ray is now being required by the DOH and the said x-ray results must be one done within the past three months only.

Lacuna said an applicant may may use DOH-accredited x-ray facilities, private clinics or hospitals or in RASAC where private x-ray can also be availed of.

For pink card applicants meanwhile, the requirements are stool, drug test, x-ray, RPR and gram stain.
