Leah Saquing, a villager who tasted the food, said “no one can surpass the gastronomic delight we experience in eating the pansit batil-patong.”

The Pancit Batil Patong has been a popular noodle dish in Cagayan with its two-part servings which are composed of the noodles with toppings and the sauce which looks like an egg drop soup and a poached egg along with sautéed meats and vegetables are topped over the fresh miki noodles while the second, is a piece of cracked egg and stirred-in simmering beef stock and poured in a bowl.

Regarded as an added flavor, the sauce is gradually poured over the noodles and meat and it is further enhanced by adding a tablespoonful or two of the chopped onion and soy sauce or vinegar dip. The beef stock that makes the batil is traditionally prepared using carabeef.
