A 12-YEAR-OLD girl who has been made a sex slave by her stepfather for more than a year ended her ordeal when she found courage to tell her aunt after the suspect sexually abused her again Wednesday morning in Barangay Putanan, Muntinlupa City.
“Sarah” (not her real name) told Muntinlupa Police Women and Children’s Protection Desk (WCPD) investigators P/SSgt Mary Roselle Geronimo and P/Cpl Lenie Duhaylongsod that her stepdad started to rape her since 2019 every time her mother was away and working.
At around 7 a.m. Wednesday, when victim’s mother left for work, the suspect sneaked inside Sarah’s room and with force and intimidation, raped her again against her will.
When Sarah revealed her misery and painful experience to her aunt, the latter sought the assistance of barangay officials that resulted in the arrest of the suspect whose name was withheld to protect the victim’s identity.
Police said the suspect was about to escape when barangay officials caught him in their residence in Bgy. Putatan Wednesday afternoon.
