Globe Rewards open donation drive for PGH after fire

PGHMFIThe Philippine General Hospital (PGH) is one of the vital medical institutions in Metro Manila, and is the largest COVID-19 referral hospital in the country. Last May 15, a fire ravaged sections of the hospital leaving disadvantaged patients, including newborns, displaced and in dire need of help.

Globe Rewards opened its platform for a donation drive to help PGH in its recovery drive.

At the height of the surge of COVID-19 cases in April, the facility’s bed utilization rate touched 90%, based on data provided by the Department of Health.

“We hope that support for PGH continues especially after the unfortunate fire incident. The hospital continues to provide COVID-19 related assistance, and needs help in equipping its frontliners. We would like to encourage our customers to help PGH in this difficult time by sharing their Rewards points,” said Joey Kilayko, Head of Globe Rewards.

Globe RewardsGlobe customers may easily help by donating their Rewards points through glbe.co/GRewardsApp. Each Reward point is equivalent to P1. Download the Globe Rewards app (https://www.globe.com.ph/rewards.html#GRewardsApp) and click on the “Let’s Help PGH” banner. Select the corresponding denomination then press “REDEEM NOW”. A confirmation message will be sent by 4438 upon successful donation.
