Go visits typhoon victims in San Mateo, Rodriguez

IN the aftermath of the Typhoon Ulysses, Senator Christopher “Bong” Go personally visited and assisted flashflood victims in San Mateo and Rodriguez towns in Rizal province.

During two separate distribution activities, Go provided food packs, masks, face shields, vitamins and free meals to a total of 1,313 families. They were conducted at the San Mateo National High School and Eulogio Rodriguez Elementary School.

Go’s office made sure that the activities were done in compliance with necessary health and safety protocols to avoid the further spread of COVID-19 and other diseases.

Go also emphasized that he will remain consistent with his promise to prioritize serving Filipinos in crisis situations.

Selected beneficiaries were also provided bicycles that they could use to commute to work given the limited public transportation options caused by the pandemic. Others were given tablets to help their children in their blended learning being implemented in schools.

Go also reminded victims with injuries or illness to go to their nearest Malasakit Center to avail of services from the medical assistance programs of the government.
