LIPA City, Batangas — Five suspected drug peddlers were nabbed for gun and ammunition possession here last Sunday.
Police Lt. Col. Antonio G. Rotol, Jr., city police commander, identified the arrested suspects as Engelbert Bañarez, Ernie De Villa,alias Ernie, Jeffrey Reyes, Eric Masongsong, and Jomar Andales.
Rotol said that at around 11:55 p.m. of October 11, his policemen conducted a buy-bust operation against one Bañarez in his residence in Purok 4, Bgy. Lumbang, this city.
During the sting, police caught the other suspects engaged in a pot session.
Seized from the suspects were heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing of suspected shabu, a P1,000 bill used as marked money, handgun, Smith and Wesson cal. .38 revolver with three live ammunition, black inside holster, live grenade, black sling bag, an aluminum foil containing suspected shabu, improvised tooter, disposable lighter, and an improvised burner.
