AMID tight security, the sister and companion of dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Guo arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 on Thursday afternoon.
They were escorted back by Bureau of Immigration (BI) agents aboard Philippine Airlines flight PR540 which arrived at around 5 p.m. From the airport, the two were made to board a bus that took them to the BI main office in Intramuros.
Personally on hand during their arrival were National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Jaime Santiago and Bureau of Immigration (BI) Commissioner Norman Tansingco, as well as representatives from the Philippine National Police.

It was learned that the repatriation and arrival of Sheila Guo, 40 and Cassandra Li Ong, 24, followed their arrest by the Indonesian Directorate General of Immigration (IDGI) at the Harris Hotel Batam Center at 6:45 a.m. on August 21, 2024. It was also reportedly duly coordinated with the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).
Prior to the said arrival, the IDGI reported that Indonesian authorities apprehended Sheila and Cassandra, who is said to be the representative of a company that provides services to Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO).
BI authorities said that Mayor Alice had left the Philippines last month and went to Malaysia and Singapore. There, she allegedly met with her family and then headed to Indonesia. Her sisters were said to be accompanying the fugitive mayor.
Recently, the Philippine government has cancelled the passports of the mayor, along with her brother Wesley and sister Shiela and Ong.
