National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Jaime Santiago said that the signatures appearing on the counter-affidavit of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo and her attendance at the Senate are not the same.
Santiago is referring to Guo’s signature on the counter-affidavit notarized by her lawyer Atty. Elmer Galicia which he said is different from the signature she affixed on the the attendance taken for the Senate hearing held last September 9,2024.
According to Santiago, this development surfaced based on an examination conducted by NBI Document examiner that took a closer look and compared the signatures of Guo using her counter- affidavit dated August 14, her Senate attendance and her Statement of Assets and Liabilities and Networth (SALN).
This, he said, would mean that another person signed the Guo’s counter -affidavit.
Santiago said this could be used by the NBI as an evidence in the case of Guo which had something to do with her involvement in POGO operations falling under her area of jurisdiction.
The NBI, he added, will also find out who signed on behalf of Guo.
