SIX colorum vehicles were apprehended and impounded by personnel of the Inter-Agency Council for Traffic (I-ACT), Task Force Alamid yesterday morning.
IATF-TA said impounded were private vehicles utilized as a shuttle service with no contract of lease.
All vehicles were properly turned over to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board-Central Office in Quezon City for proper investigation and disposition.
IATF-TA said the operation was in response to complaints and tips sent in by netizens, most of which are legitimate public utility vehicle (PUV) operators, whose sources of livelihood have been greatly affected and threatened by the surge of colorum operators in Metro Manila.
