IELTS Fair 2023

The British Council is bringing back IELTS Fair in Baguio, Manila, Cebu, and Davao

24 February 2023, Manila — The British Council will bring IELTS Fair to Baguio, Manila, Cebu and Davao this March 2023. The annual event started in 2016, bringing together review centres, education agencies, immigration consultancies, and recruitment firms from the British Council partner network. Through this effort, the organisation ensures that test takers can take advantage of global opportunities, equipping them with the knowledge and resource that they need to succeed.

The British Council will bring the fair to multiple locations in the country, making it easier for test takers from all over the Philippines to join and take advantage of the activity. It will take place from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, at the following venues:

  • 4 March – Ion Hotel, Legarda Rd., Baguio City
  • 11 March – Quest Hotel, Archbishop Reyes Ave., Cebu City
  • 18 March – Crowne Plaza, Ortigas Centre
  • 25 March – Pinnacle Hotel, Poblacion District, Davao City

During the event, subject matter experts from different education agencies and recruitment firms will talk about best practices on how test takers can take advantage of global opportunities through IELTS. Past test takers will also share their experiences and success stories, and experts will give top tips on how to ace the four components of the exam.

There will also be discussions about processing study, work, and immigration visas. Interested applicants will have the chance to interact and ask questions directly with overseas employment recruiters.

“The British Council aims to help Filipinos take advantage of global opportunities that are very much available to them. Through events like the IELTS Fair, we provide tools and assistance to help as many people as we can to reach their goals,” said Samantha Smith, British Council’s Regional Exams Manager, Southeast Asia.

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a globally-recognised English assessment that helps millions of people study, work, and live abroad. The British Council in the Philippines supports thousands of test takers annually.

“We’re thrilled to bring back the in-person IELTS Fair after two years– a perfect timing since we are also celebrating our 45th Anniversary this 2023. The British Council has always been committed to bridging possibilities between the UK and the Philippines, and IELTS has been one of the many ways that we are able to do that. We’re glad to support Filipinos through our work, and we are excited to do more in the years ahead,” shares Lotus Postrado, British Council’s Country Director.
