FOUR illegal aliens were nabbed in separate operations in Makati, Pasay and Benguet by Bureau of Immigration (BI) operatives.
BI intelligence division (ID) chief Fortunato Manahan, Jr. reported the arrest of Chinese national Fang Binbin, 39, last December 5 along Chino Roces in Makati City, by the BI’s anti terrorist group (ATG) in coordination with the Southern police, National Bureau of Investigation, Armed Forces of the Philippines and government intelligence sources.
Manahan said Fang was arrested on the strength of a mission order issued by BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado, after the BI found out that Fang has already been overstaying. Intelligence reports received by the BI also state that Fang has been involved in illegal recruitment activities.
On the same date, the BI-ID also arrested Chinese man Hujie Nie, 26, and Li Ying Long, 40, along Villaruel Street in Pasay City.
While possessing a working visa in the country, both were found to be working for an establishment other than his petitioner. They were found to be involved in retail in a seafood trading establishment in the area.
Lastly, the BI reported the arrest of Korean national Park Mounghoon, 51, in La Trinidad, Benguet. Park was unable to present his documentation and was found to be overstaying and working without permit.
All said aliens were brought to the BI’s head office in Intramuros for booking procedures and were later transferred to their holding facility inside Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig.
