A MALE Indian man wanted in Qatar for forging company documents was arrested by Bureau of Immigration – Fugitive Search Unit (BI-FSU) agents headed by Rendel Ryan Sy during an operation conducted on Thursday on Tondaligan Road in Bonoan Geset, Dagupan City.

Sy identified the suspect as Narayan Murlidhar Nathani, 48, who was located in a residential area, where he was arrested. He was transferred to the BI’s facility in Taguig where he will remain while facing deportation proceedings.

Based on official information received by the BI, Nathani is wanted by the Interpol since March 2017 for having a standing warrant of arrest issued by the misdemeanor court of Doha in November 2014 for forged purchase order bills, in violation of the Penal Code of Qatar.

Reports state that he falsified purchase order bills for a Qatari company, and acquired goods without providing payment.

Later, a verification with BI records shows that he initially arrived in 2016 as a tourist, but failed to extend his visa since then. Online articles connect him to syndicated scams in other countries as well.
