Is the White House haunted? Jenna Bush Hager shares creepy story

The White House has certainly seen its share of residents, but have any of them seen ghosts?

TODAY’s Jenna Bush Hager paid a virtual visit to “The Kelly Clarkson Show” on Monday and said there are ghosts in the historic residence.

“True or false: There are ghosts in the White House,” the talk show host asked.

“True!” Jenna replied. “And listen, Kelly, you would’ve liked these ghosts because they were very musical.”

Jenna added that the spirits were “friendly” and “compassionate” to her and twin sister Barbara Bush.

She also shared the creepy story during a conversation on TODAY in 2018 with Hoda Kotb.

JennaJenna recalled the time she and Barbara may have encountered the undead while living in the White House during their dad’s, former President George W. Bush’s, time in office.

The sisters were in their shared bedroom when Jenna’s phone rang. “It woke us up in the middle of the night,” she explained. “We had a fireplace in our room, and all a sudden we started hearing, like, 1920s piano music as clear as day coming out of the fireplace.”

It was so spooky that Jenna said she jumped in her sister’s bed. “We were both awake!”

To make things even more suspect, it wasn’t a one-time thing. “The next week, we heard the same thing but opera,” she said.

They ended up talking themselves out of the possibility the place was haunted, but a White House staffer made her question it again.

“I said, ‘Buddy, you wouldn’t believe what we heard last night,’ and he goes, ‘Oh, Jenna, you wouldn’t believe what I’ve heard.’”

Ghost stories from the White House are nothing new. Many former presidents and people who have lived there have reported seeing or feeling the presence of President

Abraham Lincoln. And Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands apparently even fainted at the “sight” of him.

There have also been reports of ghost sightings for Abigail Adams, Dolley Madison, Andrew Jackson and even British soldiers walking the hallways. (*Shudder!*)

But Jenna insisted the ghosts she and her sister potentially came in contact with had good intentions. “They were friendly ghosts,” she assured us.

Jenna Bush Shares Her Paranormal Experiences At The White House

Jocelyne LeBlanc October 11, 2020

In an interview with “The Kelly Clarkson Show”, former first daughter Jenna Bush Hager revealed her paranormal experiences while living at the White House when her father George W. Bush was the president of the United States.

When Kelly asked Jenna whether it was true or not that there are ghosts residing at the White House, her immediate response was “True,” adding that the spirits are actually quite musical as well as “friendly” and “compassionate”.

She recalled one experience in particular when she and her sister Barbara were sharing a bedroom at the White House and all of a sudden Jenna’s phone started ringing. “It woke us up in the middle of the night,” she said, adding, “We had a fireplace in our room, and all of a sudden we started hearing, like, 1920s piano music as clear as day coming out of the fireplace.” It frightened them so much that Jenna immediately jumped into Barbara’s bed with her.

And that wasn’t their only encounter with musical spirits as the same thing happened a week later but they heard opera instead of piano music. When she shared her experience with a staff member at the White House, he admitted that he had also heard strange things. Abraham LincolnAbraham Lincoln is one of the many ghosts who are said to haunt the White House.

The White House has been associated with paranormal activity for many years. In fact, several people who have lived there have claimed that Abraham Lincoln still roams around the residence. Winston Churchill and Teddy Roosevelt have both claimed to have seen Lincoln’s ghost with Roosevelt once stating, “I see him in different rooms and in the halls.” Eleanor Roosevelt and Lady Bird Johnson have also said that they felt Lincoln’s spirit while they were living there. Additionally, Lincoln’s son Willie who passed away at just 11 years of age has reportedly been seen.

Another famous apparition is that of Abigail Adams (wife of John Adams) who has been seen in the East Room with her arms stretched outwards as if she’s holding laundry (coincidentally, the East Room was where she would hang her laundry to dry while she lived there). Staff members have even smelled lavender and wet laundry.
Andrew Jackson’s ghost has been witnessed in the Rose Room where people have heard him laughing as well as swearing and stomping around. Thomas Jefferson has been seen playing his violin in the Yellow Oval Room. John Tyler has been witnessed in the Blue Room, while William Henry Harrison is said to haunt the attic. Dolley Madison’s spirit is supposedly protecting the Rose Garden.

Andrew Jackson

Andrew Jackson is another spirit who has been seen around the White House.

Other ghostly apparitions include British soldiers who have been seen walking down the hallways and one of them was carrying a torch outside on the grounds. David Burnes, who once owned the land where the White House now stands, has been seen and heard in the Yellow Oval Room. Anna Surratt, whose mother Mary was convicted of conspiracy in Lincoln’s assassination, is said to bang on doors still begging Andrew Johnson to pardon her mother.

With all of the alleged ghostly sightings over the years, it’s not surprising that Jenna Bush Hager was one of many people who have had paranormal experiences while being at the White House.  Mysterious Universe

CemeteryMan Accused of Vandalizing Cemetery in Attempt to Resurrect His Grandmother

A Tennessee man is accused of causing a staggering $30,000 in damage to a cemetery in what he told police was a bid to resurrect his late grandmother. The bizarre incident reportedly occurred on Monday evening when cops in the city of Knoxville responded to a call about some vandalism at a church cemetery. When they arrive on the scene, they discovered several broken gravestones as well as numerous puzzling holes that had been dug in the ground.

Fortunately, it did not take long for cops to crack the case as they were quickly led by a witness to a man named Danny Frazier. When questioned by police, he promptly admitted that he had been behind the brazen act of vandalism and offered a rather strange reason for what he had done. According to Frazier, his actions had actually come from an altruistic place as he was trying to resurrect his grandmother, who passed away eight years earlier and is buried at the cemetery.

While authorities presumably understood the pain of missing a lost love one, the long arm of the law was understandably less forgiving and Frazier was subsequently charged with felony counts of vandalism and trespassing. Making matter worse, it would appear that the man’s attempt to bring his grandmother back to the realm of the living proved futile, costing him what would have been a valuable character witness at his trial. That said, one assumes that Frazier’s resurrected meemaw would not have been too thrilled with the damage he did to the cemetery, so perhaps it’s for the best that she continues to rest in peace.
