Isko: COVID still here, walang magre-relax

Mayor Isko Moreno: “Wear masks. Kung kaya, bumili kayo ng face shield. ‘Wag nýong isipin na konti na ang impeksyon, pwede na ang lahat,”

 “WALANG magre-relax.”

This was the urgent appeal made by Mayor Isko Moreno, as he reiterated his calls for Manilans to continue following health protocols wherever they go outside of their homes, saying some countries are currently battling a second wave after relaxing certain prohibitions.

Moreno also bared that records from the Manila Health Department under Dr. Arnold Pangan show that Tondo, Sampaloc and Malate have the highest number of COVID-19 cases among other areas in the city of Manila.

“Wear masks. Kung kaya, bumili kayo ng face shield. ‘Wag nýong isipin na konti na ang impeksyon, pwede na ang lahat,” Moreno stressed, adding that the safety of the citizenry totally depends on how the residents will keep themselves safe from the coronavirus.

Based on latest statistics, Moreno said there are 54 new COVID-19 cases in the city; 484 active cases; 307 suspect and 66 probable. A total of 125 patients recovered although five deaths were recorded.

So far too, a total of 39, 714 have been subjected to free swab tests covering not only the probable and suspected cases but also those who are already working in order to give them peace of mind without having to spend anything.

In the same breadth, those who will be availing of the said workers’ services will also be at peace, knowing that the ones they deal with have undergone swab tests.

While the city has the most number of quarantine facilities (QFs) in the metro, Moreno said said he is glad that some of the said QFs are empty and as such, these are being disinfected while no patient is being brought there.
