GOOD news to business owners in Manila.

Mayor Isko Moreno announced that the renewal of business permits in the city where one may avail of a special discount had been extended to January 31.

Moreno said the renewal may be done in a designated area inside the SM Manila across City Hall where the processing had started as early as the first week of the month.

The mayor lauded business permit and licensing office chief Levi Facundo for establishing the Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) at the 4th Floor level of the SM Manila where the business owners may enjoy the convenience of a more spacious and airconditioned venue to transact.

Facundo said business owners may visit the BOSS everyday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and then 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

According to Facundo, business establishment owners in Manila will enjoy a ten percent discount from the city should they renew their business permits until January 31, 2021. The deadline used to be January 20.

For better convenience meanwhile, Moreno is urging the establishment owners to pay online and do away with the hassles of having to go out of their homes, spending money on transportation or gasoline and then their time to travel and if with car, finding a parking area.

Through the GoManila app, Moreno said those who want to renew their business permits may also avoid possible exposure to COVID-19 as they can already transact within the comfort of their own homes any time they want.

The mayor commended electronic data processing (EDP) chief Fortune Palileo for maintaining the efficiency of the city government’s online system of payment in Manila for the convenience of taxpayers and those with other transactions as well.
