Isko launches confidential health survey for Manilans

A HEALTH survey was launched by Mayor Isko Moreno for Manilans to fill out for the purpose of easily tracing those who may be manifesting symptoms of the coronavirus and immediately giving them medical attention, in another effort to prevent community transmission.

Moreno went live on Facebook to demonstrate how simple the survey is and appealed to all Manilans to find time to fill it out, in order for the city government to assess with more accuracy the general state of health of the populace and identify problem areas, assuring that all details will be held in confidence. The free public health survey is part of the city government’s CODE (contain and delay coronavirus disease)- COVID 19 program health survey.

The survey, Moreno said, may be accessed anytime by clicking the send message button of his FB account and in it, there are questions concerning one’s health and other personal information such as one’s name, contact number and barangay number.

‘Huwag mag-alala dahil confidential ito at gagamitin lamang para magkaroon kami ng virtual picture or macrovisual of our health situation in the entire city of Manila.

Namamagang lalamunan? Ubo? Sipon? Nahihirapan ka bang huminga? Masakit ba ang iyong tiyan? Nahihilo o nasusuka? Did you have exposure to an infected? Nagtatrabaho ka ba o nakatira sa isang lugar na me nabalitang may COVID 19?

If yes, hinihikayat kang makipag-ugnayan sa 8527-5174 at 09610627013. Pwede ding tawagan ang 8962385/6 o ang  DOH covid hotline 865-17800 loc. 1149 at 1150,’Moreno said

Moreno was quick to clarify that the city government will not give any conclusive findings based on the data given, stressing that only qualified health experts may do so.

He said that if most answers to the questions are ‘yes’,  one has to be referred to or get in touch with professionals from the Manila Health Department, the Department of Health or the nearest hospital.

The mayor said that for non-Manilans who may want to also take part in the survey and are found to be in need of immediate medical attention, they will be referred by the city government to proper authorities.
