Isko to bgy chiefs: Distribute food boxes immediately

“DO not politicize…do not dilly-dally.”

Thus Mayor Isko Moreno appealed to all concerned barangay heads in the city of Manila after receiving reports that some chairmen are stocking food boxes meant for the residents in areas under their jurisdiction.

Ipairal n’yo sana sa inyong puso ang malasakit,” Moreno said, adding that the distribution of food boxes to the residents must be very swift, since it is no longer new as the city had been doing it since the start of the pandemic.

“Isang taon na natin ‘to ginagawa.

Instead of finding reasons why the food boxes cannot be delivered immediately to the residents, Moreno urged the barangay chairpersons to find ways in making the food items reach their constituents fast.

Moreno said local government personnel in charge of packing the food items are working double time but that this is put to naught if the packs are made to sit idle in the barangay hall.

“Time is of the essence. Wala na kayong tosgas inakap na ng syudad lahat ng gastusin dahil alam ko hirap ang barangay… all you have to do is deliver ASAP the moment you receive the boxes. Gaano ba kahirap i-deliver?” an apparently dismayed Moreno said.

“Nakikisuyo ako. The moment dumating, i- deliver nyo na agad. Kami, production, deliver. Not a single moment na malalagay sa bodega,” he added.
