MANILANS were enjoined by Mayor Isko Moreno to help the city government identify areas with the highest number of residents who want to be vaccinated to serve as a guide in the city government’s deployment of COVID vaccines.

Moreno said this can be done by registering for the free COVID-19 vaccine.

The registration was launched by the local government shortly before New Year’s eve.

“Hinihikayat ko kayo na mag-parehistro kung kayo ay interesado sa bakuna. If registered na kayo, magkakaroon kami ng datos kung saang area maraming gusto at madali nang mailulunsad ang vaccination pagdating ng bakuna,” Moreno said.

The mayor also assured that each of those who will get vaccinated will subsequently be given an identification card or ‘COVID passport’ that they can eventually use when they travel for instance, as proof of having received the vaccine’s first and second doses.

The pre-registration for those who want to avail of the free vaccines was launched by Moreno December 31 last year, shortly before New Year’s eve, via text blast.

By registering with manilacovid19vaccine.com, Moreno said one’s vaccination process could be as short as five minutes. While non-registrants will still be entertained as walk-ins, Moreno said they will take a longer time since those manning the initial stage area will have to go through the entire process of getting all the information needed before proceeding with the vaccination.
